Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Middle School Premier Substitute Teacher to cover classrooms as needed at BCMS. You will instruct and supervise students, maintain classroom management, and model expected behavior daily.

Applicants must hold Michigan Certification and Endorsement for the appropriate grade levels and meet NCLB qualifications. Daily rate paid by EDUStaff, with eligibility for after-school activities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Michigan Certification and Endorsement for appropriate grade levels required.
• Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Report to BCMS every school day and sub in classrooms as needed.
• Instruction and supervision of students.
• Knowledgeable in classroom management.
• Be a role model for students.
• Utilize and understand formative assessment.
• Help monitor hallways and school grounds.
• Be involved in after-school and extracurricular activities.
• Keep accurate classroom records.
• Attend conferences and workshops to keep current.
• Work as a team member.
• Supervision of students as needed.
• When a sub is not needed, other duties will be assigned by administration.
