Job summary

Worthington School District 518 in Worthington, Minnesota invites applications for a Middle School Speech Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The coach will design practice sessions and work with the varsity head coach to administer a comprehensive program for middle school students.

Qualifications include prior coaching success in the activity, strong knowledge of speech concepts, and the ability to model positive behavior for students through instruction and actions.

Qualifications

• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned activity.
• The coach must have substantial knowledge of the speech activity at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
• The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for students through his/her instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Help design practice.
• Work with varsity head coach to administer a comprehensive program.
• Supervision of students involved in the program.
• Practice and carry out rules and procedures as defined by the Worthington School District.
