The position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $88,000 per year, with a $5,000 to $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive health and retirement benefits. Certification in LBS 1 and an Illinois teaching license are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois teaching license is required.
• Valid LBS 1 certification or eligibility for emergency approval.
• Ability to meet licensing standards of DHS and DCFS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational activities aligned with IEP goals.
• Plan daily and weekly schedules for each student.
• Collect and analyze IEP goal data and adjust goals as needed.
• Prepare assessments and present performance levels for IEP meetings.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate classroom staff.
• Maintain classroom and student records and emergency packets.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on progress.
• Model respectful behavior toward students and staff.
