Job summary

Y.A.L.E. School Inc. seeks a dedicated Middle School Special Education teacher to provide instruction and supervision for students with disabilities within a caring, team-oriented environment.

The role requires NJ instructional certification (Standard/CE/CEAS) with TOSD intent, or comparable certifications, plus a strong knowledge of secondary math curriculum and instructional strategies. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• NJ Instructional Certificate (Standard, CE or CEAS) required with Highly Qualified in Secondary Math/English/Social Studies/Science with intent to become certified in NJ Special Education (TOSD).
• Teacher of Handicapped certification is acceptable.
• K-8 Teacher Certification acceptable.
• 5-8 Certification in English, Math, Science or Social Studies acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning experiences and supervision of assigned students in a safe, supportive classroom climate.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to meet student needs and standards.
• Prepare and deliver lessons aligned to New Jersey State Learning Standards and approved curricula.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and use data to drive instruction.
• Demonstrate leadership, organization, and effective communication in the school community.
