Job summary

Devereux is seeking an Elementary School Special Education Teacher for Reading School District (Middle School grades 5-6). Starting salary ranges from $52,000 up to $64,000 per year, depending on experience, higher education and licensure.

In this role you will develop and deliver specialized instruction for middle school students with emotional support needs, establish a supportive learning environment, assess progress, provide guidance to support staff and coordinate the delivery of special

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Emergency certification available if not already obtained prior to starting employment.
• Previous Special Education teacher experience strongly preferred or student teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction to Middle school students with emotional support (ES) needs
• Establish a supportive learning environment
• Evaluate and assess student progress relative to instructional objectives
• Provide guidance to support staff
• Coordinate the delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP
