Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher for middle school students in the Easley/Powdersville area. This full-time contract role runs 8:00 AM–3:30 PM and starts September 8, 2026, offering structured hours to plan, collaborate, and deliver IEP-based instruction.

The ideal candidate holds SC certification in Special Education (or eligibility) and demonstrates strong classroom management, communication, and a commitment to inclusive education for diverse learners.

Qualifications

Valid Special Education teaching certification in South Carolina (or eligibility).
Previous middle school teaching experience preferred.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct instruction, support, and interventions as outlined in each student's IEP.
Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service staff.
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for all students on your caseload.
Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture where all learners feel valued and supported.
Regularly communicate with parents and guardians to share progress and concerns.
