Job summary

West Texas Middle School in Stinnett, Texas is seeking a Middle School Special Education Teacher. This role may be part-time or full-time within the PSP CISD calendar, with 180 days of instruction and benefits including a $500 health insurance contribution.

The successful candidate will hold state certification and possess the ability to design inclusive lesson plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with grade-level teams to support students with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold proper state certification.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in curriculum review and design.
• Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies aligned with lesson objectives.
• Diagnose and evaluates student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
• Refer students for alternative services as provided by the District (ESL, Reading, Special Reading).
• Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.
