Job summary

Springfield Public Schools in Massachusetts seeks a middle-grade educator to join the Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) for grades 6-8. The role begins August 10, 2026, with a base salary up to $96,864.45 and commensurate with experience.

As part of SEZP, you will deliver rigorous instruction, foster belonging, and collaborate with colleagues, families, and school leaders to support students’ academic and life opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid MA DESE license in Moderate Disabilities or eligibility for waiver.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using research-based curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
• Use data and formative assessment to adjust instruction and promote academic growth.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students grounded in consistency, respect, and high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including co-teaching teams and professional learning communities.
• Engage families as partners through regular communication and shared problem-solving.
