Job summary

Kickemuit Middle School in Warren, RI is seeking a Softball Head Coach for Spring 2026-27. The coach will promote, coordinate and upgrade the interscholastic softball program, supervise team operations, travel, equipment and safety, and report to the Athletic Director.

Experience in secondary school coaching preferred; RI Athletic Coach certification and CPR/First Aid recertification required, with annual RI Rules and NFHS concussion courses.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary school level coaching preferred.
• Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach and current Red Cross certification in CPR/First Aid required, with annual recertification for RI Rules and NFHS Concussion course.

Responsibilities

• Promote, coordinate and continually improve the interscholastic softball program.
• Ensure content, conduct and coordination of the program under the Athletic Director.
• Manage administration, equipment, budgeting, team travel and scheduling.
