Qualifications

• Experience with secondary school level coaching preferred.
• Rhode Island Certificate for Athletic Coach (NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses) and current Red Cross certification(s) in CPR and First Aid required, as well as annual recertification for RI Rules and NFHS Concussion course.

Responsibilities

• Coaches of each interscholastic sport at Kickemuit Middle School shall be knowledgeable and skilled in the techniques of their sport.
• The head coach is responsible for promoting, coordinating and continually improving the interscholastic sport he/she is assigned.
• Every coach is directly responsible to the Athletic Director for the content, conduct and coordination of his/her program.
