Job summary

Family Health Centers at NYU Langone invites applications for a Health Educator (WIC/Ambltry) to support students in the SRAE program at Sunset Park Prep and Charles O Dewey Middle Schools. The role delivers age-appropriate sexual health education and facilitates MAD curriculum and parent workshops.

The successful candidate will provide risk reduction counseling, build community partnerships, ensure grant deliverables, and promote inclusive youth development.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; health outreach experience preferred.
• Experience working with youth and community programs is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate MAD curriculum with middle school students
• Plan and facilitate parent workshops
• Coordinate with program staff to run summer peer educator activities
• Provide one-on-one risk reduction counseling to students and connect to resources
• Ensure SRAE grant deliverables meet fidelity to MAD curriculum
• Build relationships with community partners, school staff, and parent groups
• Maintain LGBTQ-inclusive services and positive youth development approach
• Prepare program reports for SRAE grant
