String Theory Schools is seeking a 26-27 Science Middle School Teacher for our Vine Street campus at 1600 Vine Street in Philadelphia. The role focuses on delivering standards-driven, arts-integrated science instruction and developing rigorous, engaging units.

Qualifications include a BA/BS or advanced degree and PA certification in grades 4-8 (4-6, Science 7-8) with willingness to pursue certification if uncertified. Strong collaboration and technology use are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree required.
• PA Certification in Grades 4-8 (4-6, Science 7-8) or higher.
• Uncertified teachers may be considered if willing to become certified.
• Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances required.
• US citizenship and work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Official PA state teacher certification or progress toward certification required.

Our team is currently scheduling interviews for a 26-27 Science Middle School Teacher.

Philadelphia Performing Arts, A String Theory Charter School is accepting applications for a 26-27 Science Middle School Teacher at our Vine Street campus located at 1600 Vine Street. Students throughout our organization engage in a unique educational program designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders through their participation in the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, standards-driven academic curriculum. Our teachers are creative, passionate, professional educators who believe that every student has specific intelligences that must be nurtured and that all students should have an equal opportunity to achieve their own innate potential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree
• PA Certification in Grades 4-8 (4-6, Science 7-8) , General Science 7-12 (will consider subject-specific certifications such as Physics 7-12, Biology 7-12, Chemistry 7-12, Earth and Space Science 7-12)
• Uncertified teachers will be considered if they have a willingness to become certified
• Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI)
• Candidates must be US Citizens and have permission to work in the United States. Philadelphia Performing Arts will not sponsor a Visa for a candidate.
• Candidates must either have an official PA state teacher certification, not an emergency certification, or be working towards their official certification
