Job summary

String Theory Schools is seeking a 26-27 Middle School 8th Grade Math Teacher for immediate full-time hire at our Vine Street campus (1600 Vine Street) in Philadelphia. The role focuses on a standards-driven, technology-infused curriculum blending arts and sciences.

We value collaboration, student growth, and creative instruction; teachers enjoy 90 minutes daily common planning and access to modern Apple technology and resources to enhance lessons and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree.
• PA Certification in Grades 4-8 (4-6, Math 7-8) or Math 7-12.
• Uncertified teachers will be considered if they have a willingness and ability to become certified.
• Criminal history, child abuse and FBI clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI).
• US Citizens with permission to work in the United States; H-1B sponsorship not provided.
• Official PA state teacher certification or working towards it.

Philadelphia Performing Arts, A String Theory Charter School is interviewing for a 26-27 Middle School 8th Grade Math Teacher (Immediate Full-time Hire) at our Vine Street campus located at 1600 Vine Street. Students throughout our organization engage in a unique educational program designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders through their participation in the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, standards-driven academic curriculum. Our teachers are creative, passionate, professional educators who believe that every student has specific intelligences that must be nurtured and that all students should have an equal opportunity to achieve their own innate potential.
