Job summary

Meridian CUSD #101 seeks a dedicated middle school science teacher to deliver standards-based lessons across life, earth, and physical sciences. You will conduct labs, assess student progress, and foster a safe, engaging classroom that uses technology to connect learning with real-world applications.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Science Education and a valid 6–8 certification. The role is full-time for 9 months, with retirement benefits through TRS and health/dental/vision insurance

Qualifications

• Experience teaching science to adolescents in middle school.
• Ability to plan standards-based lessons and assess student learning.
• Strong classroom management and clear communication with students and parents.

Salary/Benefits

• Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience, based on the district’s certified salary schedule.
• Contract: Full-time, 9-month position (180 days).
• Retirement: Participation in the state’s Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS).
