Job Description

The Kingdom East School District seeks a middle school science teacher to join our Lyndon Town School teaching team. We seek a creative, passionate teacher who loves both science and working with middle school students. Candidates must be dynamic, high quality science teachers interested in joining a high energy PLC school and possess a commitment to instructing students within a middle school model. Building strong relationships with students is a priority along with a sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people. The individual will be part of a grade level team including a special educator and humanities and mathematics teachers. The district provides mentorship and a supportive administration. This is a perfect position for a natural scientist‑outdoors person who enjoys the rural life in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467.

Lyndon Town School strives to offer a highly collaborative, student-centered learning environment which allows plenty of opportunity for outdoor and experiential education, project based learning, and a development of a sense of place. Experience with Responsive Classroom, and PBIS is beneficial, but not necessary.

The Kingdom East School District is located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have “choice” and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.
