Job Description

Miller’s Run School is seeking a dynamic Elementary Grade Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team of highly engaged professionals, with opportunities for multi-grade sharing and learning. Candidates must be enthusiastic and inquisitive, committed to collaborative teaming, and interested in joining a developing professional learning community. The pay range for this position is $44,267-$89,467.

Experience with early literacy, Bookworms, UFLI, workshop model, Bridges Mathematics, POA/PNOA, positive behavior interventions, and Responsive Classroom are a priority. We seek creative, passionate teachers who love children, and with their vertical team will provide a strong foundation to our early elementary students. A sense of humor and genuine love for working with young people is a necessity. The individual will be part of a team including special educators and interventionists. The district provides strong mentorship and a supportive administration.

Millers’ Run School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have "choice" and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing.

We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities. We are close to the White Mountains and the Green Mountains. Both Littleton, NH and St. Johnsbury, VT have numerous fine and performing arts venues. Our communities attract wholesome families, faculty and staff. Our schools maintain impassioned faculty, personalized beliefs about success, and a caring, safe school culture.

Only completed, on-line applications at schoolspring.com will be accepted. On-line application must include: profile, letter, resume, transcripts, references, tests, certifications and questions, if asked. Hard copies of Vermont Certification with appropriate endorsements, three written letters of reference and transcripts will be required for verification at the interview level. Visit our website www.kingdomeast.org for information about our schools. Minority applicants are encouraged to apply. EOE M/F
