Job description

The Burlingame School District is seeking an innovative middle school science teacher. The candidate should be well-versed in current instructional strategies that challenge students to think and problem-solve at high levels, and should prefer a positive and proactive approach to classroom management. The district is growth mindset oriented and progressive, aiming to add a teacher who shares these values. Each classroom is equipped with a Newline Interactive Board, and all students have access to their own Chrome Book.

Salary: The first-year teaching salary is $44,300 plus benefits for the 2025-2026 school year, based on experience. Salary prorates for the remaining school year.

Location: Burlingame, Kansas, located in northeast Kansas, south of Topeka, within an hour of Kansas City, Lawrence, Manhattan, and Emporia. The district offers a rigorous academic program, dual credits through Allen Community College, and partnership with Washburn Technical School.
