ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, prepare, and implement lesson materials in accordance with district resources, State standards, and Antioch CCSD 34’s philosophy and objectives.
- Employ a variety of instructional methods, techniques, and materials to differentiate learning activities for all students.
- Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Actively participate in data-related meetings, including weekly Student Learning Team (SLT) meetings.
- Attend weekly professional development meetings.
- Promote and maintain appropriate student behavior.
- Participate in committees to develop and improve instruction and other building-level goals/initiatives.
- Pursue continual professional growth and support the school's vision of excellence.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of student information as required by law, district policy, and administrative directives.
- Utilize technology devices to enhance instructional delivery.
- Apply diverse instructional strategies and assessment methods to provide differentiated instruction.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Science of Reading.
- Collaborate effectively with grade-level and school teams.
- Exhibit strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with colleagues, parents, and administration.
- Commit to ongoing professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Endorsement in Science for Middle School.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of current educational methodologies and child development theories.
Salary aligned with AEEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
