Position: Middle School Science Teacher

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan, prepare, and implement lesson materials in accordance with district resources, State standards, and Antioch CCSD 34’s philosophy and objectives.
2. Employ a variety of instructional methods, techniques, and materials to differentiate learning activities for all students.
3. Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
4. Actively participate in data-related meetings, including weekly Student Learning Team (SLT) meetings.
5. Attend weekly professional development meetings.
6. Promote and maintain appropriate student behavior.
7. Participate in committees to develop and improve instruction and other building-level goals/initiatives.
8. Pursue continual professional growth and support the school's vision of excellence.
9. Maintain accurate and complete records of student information as required by law, district policy, and administrative directives.
10. Utilize technology devices to enhance instructional delivery.
11. Apply diverse instructional strategies and assessment methods to provide differentiated instruction.
12. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Science of Reading.
13. Collaborate effectively with grade-level and school teams.
14. Exhibit strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with colleagues, parents, and administration.
15. Commit to ongoing professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS
