Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a School Psychologist to support a middle school on a full-time contract starting in the second semester. The role focuses on psychological services, assessments, counseling, and collaboration with students, families, and staff.

The candidate will interpret data for IEPs/MTSS, contribute to professional development, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Valid certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist.
• Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Proven experience with middle school students.
• Familiarity with IEPs and MTSS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to culturally responsive practices and collaborative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret data to identify student needs.
• Provide counseling and behavioral interventions for middle school students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective support strategies.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of IEPs.
• Assist in crisis prevention and intervention, offering guidance on best practices.
• Lead or contribute to professional development activities for faculty and staff.
• Maintain up-to-date records and comply with all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
