Overtown Youth Center in Miami is seeking a dedicated Middle School Program Coordinator to lead and support after-school program activities, coordinate case services, and liaise with partner schools to create a safe and engaging learning environment.

The role emphasizes recruitment, data submission, collaboration with staff, and ensuring academic supports for students, including those needing tutoring or IEP assessments, with a strong focus on attendance and program integrity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in youth programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support program team in recruitment for elementary school students at assigned sites.
• Develop and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for student growth.
• Coordinate and implement program activities and special projects.
• Chaperone after-school outings and trips with students.
• Ensure timely submission of attendance and data.
• Act as liaison with partner schools and conduct in-school rotations ≥4 days/week.
• Connect students with resources for academic support (tutoring, testing prep, IEP-related help).
• Ensure 85% attendance reporting to Data Department.
• Document services with case notes, assessments, and progress plans.
• Maintain safety protocols and conduct.
• Provide comprehensive case coordination services for students and families.
• Maintain accurate student files and progress notes per standards.
• Coordinate with professionals and CAP advisors; participate in weekly meetings.
