Manheim Brethren in Christ Church (MBIC) exists to help people in our community initiate and nurture a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We’re a church on the move - with growing momentum, a collaborative staff team, and deep roots in the Manheim community. We believe the local church is God’s primary vehicle for transformation, and we’re investing in the people and ministries that make that happen.
Dedicated to MBIC’s mission of "initiating and nurturing a growing relationship with Christ," our Middle School Youth Pastor will lead a vibrant, deeply established ministry for students in 5th through 8th grade. For over 30 years, MBIC has deeply invested in family ministry, building a youth culture that extends well beyond our walls- from cafeteria lunches and teacher support days to being the local hangout after Friday night football. Averaging around 150 middle schoolers weekly in a church of 700 adults, this is not an entry-level position; it’s a high-impact opportunity for an experienced leader ready to shepherd a large, dynamic, and community-connected youth ministry.
Partnering with the Family Ministry Team and supervising our 56ers Ministry Director, you will design engaging discipleship pathways, teach, and create spaces where middle schoolers encounter Jesus. Rather than ministering alone, your key focus will be recruiting, equipping, and releasing volunteer leaders, fostering strong school district partnerships, and walking alongside parents. Whether leading Sunday mornings, planning retreats, or occasionally preaching in main services, your leadership will shape a culture of authentic faith and community for middle school students.
Full-time, 42.5 hours/week; primary office days Monday-Thursday, plus Sunday duties and 1-2 evenings/week.
Market-competitive salary based on education/experience, full health insurance, 5-week sabbaticals every 5 years, and dedicated education, travel, and meeting allowances.
