Job summary

Qualifications

• Must reside and be eligible to work in the U.S.
• Able to be on campus in Vernon, NJ 3 days a week during school hours
• Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during the school day
• Capable of utilizing and adapting approach to ensure student engagement
• Demonstrated knowledge in Mathematics and Algebra
• Strong communication skills in English
• Earned a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited university
• Teaching certificate not required
• Background as Math Teacher or Math Tutor in HS/MS/Elem preferred

Responsibilities

• Tutor small groups of students in a school setting.
• Meet with the same group of students multiple times a week at a scheduled time.
• Engage students using manipulatives and online tools such as an interactive whiteboard.
• Use student assessment data to identify gaps in knowledge.
• Deliver provided standards-aligned digital curriculum.
• Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators.
• Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to improve instructional practices and tutoring quality.
