Job description

We are looking for a middle school math teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Salary Range: $37,000-$45,000/year

Purpose of Position: Under the supervision of the principal, the classroom teacher is responsible for teaching all required content areas to students in the assigned grade level. This involves planning and conducting an education program that promotes students’ intellectual and spiritual growth through developmentally appropriate instruction. The teacher also fosters students’ enjoyment and appreciation of learning within an environment that promotes the values of our Classical Catholic school.

General Responsibilities: Employment in and by the Church requires conduct that aligns with and supports the mission and purpose of the Church. Employees must behave in a manner consistent with the faith, morals, and laws of the Church of the Archdiocese, avoiding actions that could embarrass the Church or cause scandal. It is required that the employee be an active, participating Roman Catholic.

Representative Responsibilities:

• Teach required subject matter and curriculum to all students in your class roster.
• Prepare curriculum and resources for approval by the principal.
• Conduct parent and student teacher conferences as scheduled.
• Assess and document student progress in the reporting system.
• Collaborate with staff to improve student performance and behavior.
• Work with other teachers and administrators to develop, evaluate, and revise school programs.
• Manage instructional materials assigned to you.
• Be present with children at all times when responsible for their welfare.
• Create a classroom environment that is safe and engaging for students.
• Attend faculty meetings and in-service days as requested.
• Participate in diocesan and professional development workshops as required.
• Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures for discipline.
• Follow policies outlined in the Faculty and Parent Handbook.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
• Be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision.
• Contribute to making the school an exemplary environment of Christian virtue and Catholic tradition.
