Our Lady Lourdes Catholic School, Washington, Missouri a faith-centered Catholic school committed to academic excellence and moral development, is seeking a passionate and qualified Middle School Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach math to students in grades 7 and 8 and support the mission of the school by integrating Catholic values into the curriculum and classroom environment. The candidate hired would also need to be able to teach Religion to 7th graders.
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with diocesan and state standards.
Teach math subjects including but not limited to pre-algebra, algebra I, geometry, and problem-solving strategies.
Create a classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and a love of learning.
Assess student progress through a variety of methods and communicate regularly with students and parents.
Use technology to enhance instruction and engage learners.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff in planning cross-curricular activities and school events.
Incorporate Catholic teachings and values in daily interactions, classroom discussions, and lesson content.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere rooted in Gospel values.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, liturgies, and school community activities.
Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field
Valid state teaching certification or working toward certification.
Teaching experience in middle school math preferred.
Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred, may be required depending on diocese).
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to foster faith formation in students.
