Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a commitment to student success, and the ability to engage and inspire young learners. As a Middle School Math Teacher at our charter school, you will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding of mathematical concepts, fostering problem-solving skills, and preparing them for academic success. Responsibilities: Design and implement an engaging and rigorous math curriculum aligned with standards and school objectives. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to participate. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and integrate math concepts across the curriculum. Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues to support student success and well-being. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math instruction and pedagogy. Contribute to the school community by participating in school events, committees, and extracurricular activities. Essential Knowledge: Deep understanding of middle school math concepts and proficiency in teaching a range of mathematical topics. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field. Valid teaching certification/license in North Carolina is preferred. Previous teaching experience, preferably in a charter school or diverse educational setting.
