Job summary

Hamburg Area School District in Hamburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Middle School Life Skills/Autistic Support Teacher to provide specialized instruction and individualized support for students with emotional and behavioral needs.

The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to develop IEPs, implement behavior intervention plans, and apply trauma-informed instruction and positive behavior supports to help students grow

Qualifications

Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education or eligibility.
Commitment to trauma-informed instruction and positive behavior supports.
Ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff.
Experience with middle school students is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with emotional and behavioral needs.
Develop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans.
Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies.
