Job summary

Rio Hondo Independent School District is seeking an Assistant Principal to assist the Principal in providing leadership and supervision of the educational program at a Middle School. You will direct instructional programs, plan activities, and implement programs to achieve the school's mission.

The role requires knowledge of STAAR/EOC testing, campus operations, data analysis, and effective communication with students and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees from an accredited college or university.
• Texas Principal or other appropriate Texas Certificate.
• Certified appraiser (T-TESS, T-PESS) desirable.
• Experience individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage assigned areas of instructional program and campus operations.
• Lead planning activities and implement programs to meet the school's mission.
• Use information systems to maintain records and track progress on campus performance objectives and academic indicators.
• Oversee assigned student activities and services and communicate effectively with students and parents.
