Job summary

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina Teacher Licensure; dual certification in 6-9 English Language Arts preferred.
• Minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree in Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor beginning teachers and teachers new to Hoke County Schools.
• Teaches, models and facilitates best practices and instructional programs across the curriculum.
• Participates in a minimum of two 4-day coaching cycles per week.
• Identifies effective assessment tools and trains teachers on administering them as part of a comprehensive assessment program.
• Assists teachers with data collection and analysis of results.
• Collaborates with teachers to set learning goals and problem-solve for continuous academic growth.
• Provides literacy and math professional development across the curriculum.
• Meets with PLC teams and the principal to report progress and plan next steps.
