ReNEW Schools is seeking an English Teacher to inspire students at Castillero and Herbert Hoover Middle Schools in San Jose. The role focuses on developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking through engaging literature and writing opportunities.

The impact you will have: As an English Teacher, you will inspire students to develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills that empower them to express their ideas and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. You will create engaging and inclusive learning experiences that build students’ confidence as readers, writers, and communicators. Through meaningful literature, discussion, and writing opportunities, you will help students develop their voice, deepen their understanding of diverse perspectives, and discover their own greatness. • Complete of all three CTEL (California Teachers of English Learners Examination) within the first two years of employment.
