Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid California Special Education (Education Specialist Instruction) Teaching Credential.
• Educator Authorization in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH).
• English Learner (EL) Authorization.
• Commitment to SSFUSD mission and vision.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional instruction aligned to the Portrait of the Graduate.
• Develop rigorous lessons aligned to California State Common Core Standards.
• Set ambitious goals with students and monitor progress with feedback.
• Track student growth and create individualized plans when needed.
• Communicate regularly with families and build strong relationships.
• Create a conducive classroom environment for physical, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders on lessons and student plans.
• Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and samples.
• Engage in professional development and participate in school community events.
