KIPP Public Schools in Philadelphia seeks an experienced Middle School ELA Teacher to deliver rigorous instruction, strengthen reading and writing skills, and uphold KPPS core values. Responsibilities include analyzing student work, communicating with families, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in coaching and professional development.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of urban ELA teaching, PA certification or active certification path, and commitment to equity and anti-racism.

Formación

• 2+ years of full-time ELA teaching experience in an urban setting preferred.
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II preferred; if uncertified, must enroll in PA-approved certification within one year of hire.
• Criminal and child abuse background checks required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure all children feel affirmed, valued and challenged daily.
• Create rigorous unit and daily lesson plans leveraging provided curricula/resources.
• Infuse core values into daily lessons and school practices and implement culture systems.
• Maintain a productive, organized, safe, neat and focused learning environment.
• Regularly analyze student work to adjust lessons and inform instruction.
