Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students; two years teaching experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree; GPA of at least 3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
• New York certification or in the process of obtaining it; see NYSED requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, structured learning environment that motivates students to reach ambitious goals.
• Build classroom community by partnering with families to support academic and personal growth.
• Use data from interim assessments to drive instruction and interventions.
• Implement unit and lesson plans with the grade or subject team.
• Model AF’s core values in interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with coach and school team to improve instructional and leadership skills.
• Attend all professional development, planning, and data analysis meetings.
