Job summary

Rochester School District is seeking a coach for the middle school cross country program. You will provide positive learning experiences, guide athletes, and lead the team in organization, practices, and equipment management to ensure a successful season.

The role requires prior coaching experience, ability to foster strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and a commitment to ongoing coaching education. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Valid first aid/ CPR Card required.
• Coaching experience in middle school cross country preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
• Commitment to ongoing training through courses and clinics.
• Must meet WIAA coaching standard criteria.
• Must pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive learning experiences for the middle school cross country program.
• Offer guidance, leadership, and skills development for team success.
• Lead team organization, practice scheduling, equipment, and assigned duties.
