Job summary

MSAD #60 (North Berwick) seeks a Middle School Competition Cheer Coach to lead the Noble Knight's Athletic Department in North Berwick, Maine. This after-school role develops the program and supports student growth in a safe, structured setting.

The coach will teach fundamentals, strategy, and discipline, while ensuring compliance with school and state athletic guidelines. NFHS certifications are required for safety and instructional excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching cheer at middle school level or higher.
• Must have valid fingerprinting and CHRC approval in Maine.
• A-track NFHS certifications are required as listed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the cheer program as assigned by the department.
• Instruct athletes in skills, strategy, and physical training.
• Maintain a safe competitive and educational environment for all student-athletes.
• Adhere to coaches handbook and Maine Principals Association rules.
• Coordinate travel, rosters, schedules and communications with staff.
• Attend athletic department meetings and support code of conduct.
