Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Proven ability to work with students in a non-academic setting
• Preferred: Successful coaching experience in the sport
• Commitment to collaborating with coaching staff and the Athletic Director
• Positive and professional collaboration with students, parents, community members, fellow coaches, and game officials
• Positive role model regarding dress, appropriate language, physical contact, and mental/psychological approach to working with stakeholders
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Building Principal

Note: Alternative qualifications may be considered acceptable by the Board of Education or Superintendent.

Duties

• Supervise all practice sessions
• Provide instruction in proper techniques and sport rules
• Attend all required State and League meetings (as necessary)
• Appropriately dispense and care for uniforms and equipment; account for all items through an end‑of‑season inventory
• Handle additional responsibilities associated with the sport as directed by the Athletic Director and/or School Principal

Responsible to: High School Principal and Athletic Director

Salary: According to Extra‑Compensatory Salary Schedule B per agreement with LPEA
