Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience coaching adolescent age students in competitive sports.
• Coaching application.
• Meets RI/RIIL/district requirements and annual safety trainings.
• All coaches must pass updated national and state BCI checks.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants, small groups and teams in necessary skills.
• Supervises individual team members and teams at all times.
• Knows and applies current rules, RIIL regulations and district policies affecting academics and student development.
• Collaborates with school officials to monitor student-athlete academic performance and leadership role.
• Acts as a role model by showing respect to officials, competitors, visitors and observers under stress.
• Schedules practices and games with athletic director and other coaches.
• Informs athletic director about facility, equipment and uniform conditions.
• Communicates with athletic director about team members, issues and activities.
• Notifies athletic director of actions or conditions affecting safety.
• Delegates coaching to assistants and volunteers.
• Performs other duties as directed by athletic director and principal.
