Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a Middle School Cafeteria Helper for a part-time, school-based role in Michigan. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., student days only, requiring teamwork to prepare and serve quality food to students and staff.

Responsibilities include food prep, dish cleanup, running the POS/register, and following safety and sanitation rules daily. Willingness to cover other related duties is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods to be served for breakfast and/or lunch.
• Assist with dishes, and general clean up of the dish area and other work areas as needed.
• Run register.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team-based environment.
• Use POS system to deduct breakfast and/or lunches from accounts, and make student and staff deposits.
• Help complete daily production records for foods prepared.
• Fill orders as needed.
• Follow all safety and sanitation requirements daily.
• Clean and sanitize equipment daily and at the end of the school year.
• Ability to fill in for other positions if needed.
• Responsible for any other related duties or jobs assigned by the Food Service Director and Head Server.
