Job summary

Idaho Falls School District 91 is seeking an Assistant Coach for the middle school athletics program. The ideal candidate will assist the head coach, ensure athlete safety, and uphold district rules during practices and contests.

The role includes participating in district safety workshops and contributing to student development and discipline. Preference is given to candidates with an Idaho Teaching Certificate and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching the sport and mentoring student-athletes.
• CPR certification current is preferred.
• Ability to work with staff, students, and the public.
• Idaho Teaching Certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in carrying out responsibilities to students and the district.
• Assume the head coach's duties during their absence.
• Ensure student safety on the field during practice and competition.
• Comply with IHSAA, State Board of Education and district rules.
• Attend district safety and legal workshops (CPR, first aid).
• Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested by the Building Administrator.
• Maintain ethical conduct and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
