Job summary

Foxborough Public Schools seeks a Middle School Assistant Principal (Grades 5-8) to provide instructional leadership and oversee curricular programs at John J. Ahern Middle School in Foxborough, MA.

The role includes staff supervision, performance evaluation, and delivering high-quality professional development to ensure strong teaching and student outcomes. The position reports to the principal; a Master’s degree and MA DESE Principal/Asst Principal certification are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five (5) years classroom teaching experience.
• Master’s degree or higher required.
• Massachusetts DESE certification as Principal/Assistant Principal.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Leadership: Create and maintain an environment that supports high-quality instruction and equity.
• Supervises and evaluates staff using performance standards and supports ongoing improvement.
• Plans and provides high-quality professional development for all staff members.
• Develops and maintains a budget that is fiscally responsible and aligns with district priorities.
• Leads collaboration with the school council and district leaders to improve student outcomes.
• Promotes a positive learning environment and MTSS-aligned supports.
