Job summary

Roche & Hirschy is seeking a Middle Office lead to drive team performance and operational continuity. You will allocate responsibilities, supervise transaction control, and monitor processes from Front Office initiation to resolution.

The role covers overseeing fixed-income operations, corporate actions, and data integrity, while managing external Back Office relationships, incident handling, and continuous control improvements across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Middle Office teams and coordinating across Front Office, Back Office, IT and control functions.
• Ability to oversee fixed-income operations and corporate actions, including dividends, coupons, repayments, conversions and capital changes.
• Proven track record in maintaining data quality, standardized instructions, and reconciliations across bank systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the Middle Office team; allocate responsibilities and ensure operational continuity.
• Supervise transaction control and monitoring from initiation by the Front Office through to resolution, ensuring accuracy of instructions and movements.
• Oversee operations on fixed-income and corporate actions; identify and resolve discrepancies, pending items, and operational incidents.
• Manage the operational relationship with an external Back Office provider; monitor service quality and handle incidents and escalations.
• Maintain a robust control framework, update procedures, and produce indicators to manage activity; drive process improvement, automation, and digitalization initiatives in collaboration with Front Office, IT, and senior leadership.

Job description

As part of The client’s Middle Office function, you will be responsible for leading, supporting, and developing the team. You will organize departmental activity by allocating responsibilities and ensuring operational continuity, while supervising transaction control and monitoring from initiation by the Front Office and management teams through to resolution.

You will ensure the quality and consistency of instructions, positions, movements, and recorded data within the bank’s systems. Responsibilities include overseeing operations on fixed-income and voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, such as dividends, coupons, repayments, conversions, public offers, and capital increases, while identifying and resolving discrepancies, pending items, and operational incidents.

You will manage the operational relationship with an external provider responsible for the Back Office, monitor service quality, and handle incidents and escalations. You will maintain an effective control framework by keeping procedures up to date and producing the indicators needed to manage activity, collaborating closely with the Front Office, management teams, IT, control functions, and senior leadership, and contributing to process improvement, automation, and digitalization initiatives.
