Job summary

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years accounting or audit experience in hedge funds or real estate debt.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong communication, business knowledge, and multitasking ability.
  • Proactivity, organization, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in operations and processes for funds.
  • Process cash management and payments including margin calls, loan closings, drawdowns, paydowns and interest payments.
  • Ensure pricing governance and valuation framework quality and control; reflect fair value in investments.
  • Calculate NAV of funds daily, weekly and monthly; provide intra-NAV estimates on request.
  • Liaise with fund administrator to reconcile final NAVs and monitor service levels.
  • Develop and deliver client reporting; respond to client queries; support wider business as needed.
  • Oversee changes to incentive/performance fees, management fees, and other fees in scope.
  • Handle account setup and daily transaction reconciliations; manage relationships with service providers.
  • Assist in annual financial statements and monthly investor reports; monitor risk and controls; drive process improvements.

Purpose of Role:

The Middle Office & Accounting Analyst is supporting the Man Discretionary & External Alpha Managed Accounts businesses across hedgefund and private credit products. This role will support Portfolio and Asset Management activities and will be responsible for NAV oversight,cash management, client reporting, & Profit & Loss (PnL) analysis. Possessing excellent communication and administrative skills, the Analyst will be responsible for a significant portion of the day-to-day operations support and managing relationships with our operations counterpartsat our clients & external counterparties.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the direction and administration of operations and processes for our funds.
  • Check and process all cash management and payment processing activities including, margin calls, loan closings,
  • drawdowns, paydowns, & interest payments.
  • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the pricing governance and controls are maintained through identification and
  • mitigation of pricing risks and the communication/documentation of any enhancements to the framework. Ensure relevant
  • information is incorporated in the valuation of the investments and that valuations are reflective of fair value.
  • Calculate Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds on a daily, weekly and monthly basis including checking accrued income and
  • expenses. Provision of intra-NAV estimates to the Asset Managers/Clients when requested.
  • Liaise with the fund administrator/s to reconcile final fund NAVs and monitor deliverables against service levels.
  • Work with team members to develop and deliver client reporting, respond to client queries and assist the wider business
  • where necessary
  • Oversight of changes to incentive/performance fees, management fees, and any other fee structures in scope
  • Responsible for the account setup and daily reconciliation of transactions ensuring accuracy of the entries generated.
  • Responsible for service provider relationships including but not limited to, fund administration, loan administration, banking,
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly investor reports.
  • Actively monitor risk by identifying trends and potential issues with operational controls to improve the control environment and
  • Taking a proactive and innovative approach to enhancing processes and maintaining internal policies and procedures
  • manuals.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 0-3 years experience in accounting or audit experience e.g. Real Estate Debt, Hedge Funds, Fund of Funds
  • Excellent Microsoft skills (power point, excel and word)
  • Strong communication skills, strong business knowledge and ability to multitask
  • High levels of pro-activity, organization, and self-motivation
  • A team player, with the ability to work collaboratively, who is also comfortable to take individual ownership

The anticipated based salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation packages would also include benefits and a discretionary bonus. This is the base salary range that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting based on the location and requirements of the position as well as the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant. The Firm reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

US Pay Range

$75,000 - $85,000 USD
