Job summary

Man Group seeks an Analyst to join our Portfolio Management group for a rapidly growing private credit platform. You will monitor 15-20 portfolio companies, support deal teams, and help maintain data accuracy on an internal platform while analyzing portfolio risk trends.

Collaborative, finance- or accounting-focused professionals with strong Excel skills and experience in valuation, credit ratings, and investor reporting will thrive. A CFA/CPA or SQL/Python knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Finance or accounting background with strong financial statement analysis skills.
  • Experience with valuation methods, credit rating processes and reporting.
  • Collaboration across functions with high energy and drive.
  • Fluent in Excel; Power BI, SQL, Python and iLevel are a plus.

Position Responsibilities

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Portfolio Management group for a rapidly growing private credit asset manager. This individual’s main focus will be monitoring the performance of 15-20 portfolio companies and assisting deal-teams on assigned investments. Additional responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data maintained on an internal platform, the ongoing identification and analysis of portfolio risk trends, completing quarterly portfolio account and valuation updates, liaising with credit rating agencies to establish and maintain credit ratings, and facilitating investor reporting workflows. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with other areas of our business (Underwriting, Capital Markets, Business Development, Investor Relations, Operations) and service providers for specific tasks that arise such as fundraising, preparation of materials for Board of Directors meetings, etc.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified candidates must have a finance or accounting background with strong financial statement analysis skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Experience with valuation methods (discounted cash flow modeling and debt pricing), credit rating processes and procedures, as well as data aggregation and reporting are a plus.
  • Experience in private credit or private equity and direct lending strategy a plus.
  • Collaborative work style across functions with high energy, enthusiasm and drive.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate views verbally and in writing, fostering confidence when sharing/presenting informa
  • Proven ability to deliver consistent, reliable and timely execution in a time-sensitive role.
  • Fluent in Excel and Power
  • Experience using iLevel a plus
  • Finance or accounting designation such as CFA or CPA a plus.
  • Understanding SQL, Power BI and Python a plus.

The anticipated based salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation packages would also include benefits and a discretionary bonus. This is the base salary range that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting based on the location and requirements of the position as well as the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant. The Firm reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.

US Pay Range: $100,000 USD - $110,000 USD
