Job description

Dream Company:

Some organizations talk about putting people first. This one has built its entire operating rhythm around it, from how leaders show up for their teams to how they show up for clients. It is privately held and has stayed that way by choice, which gives leadership the freedom to make decisions for the long run rather than the next quarter. The culture rewards humility and hard work over ego, and community involvement is treated as a genuine extension of the mission rather than a marketing line.

Dream Job:

This role puts you at the center of the client relationship, owning the full renewal cycle for a portfolio of mid-market employee benefits accounts rather than handling pieces of it. You will partner closely with a Risk Advisor on strategy while being the person clients count on day to day, which means real ownership from year one. It is a strong fit for someone who is deeply organized, unshaken by competing deadlines, and energized by being the trusted point of contact rather than one voice among many. For the right person, it is a clear runway toward a larger book of business and more senior client responsibility.

This is a full-time, exempt-level position within the Employee Benefits practice, reporting to the Employee Benefits Manager. This role manages a book of group accounts ranging from 50 to 120 lives.

Role Responsibilities
  • Partner with Risk Advisors to carry out each client's action plan and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Handle service requests efficiently and accurately, including rate requests, pricing and plan design negotiation, compliance questions, terminations, and enrollments.
  • Prepare meeting materials, renewal materials, benefit booklets, summary plan description wrap documents, presentations, and employee election forms.
  • Create and maintain client account records in the agency management system, including activities, tasks, and attachments tied to the service schedule such as compliance deadlines, reporting and analytics, and renewal activities.
  • Schedule and manage follow-up for renewal, mid-year, and client touch-base meetings.
  • Respond to service issues and communicate outcomes to the Risk Advisor and clients.
  • Work with carriers on benefit plan design, the application process, claims, and billing issues.
  • Manage the full renewal process from start to finish.
Skills and Abilities

  • Ethical: demonstrates conduct that reflects a clear set of values.
  • Foresight: plans ahead while completing current work.
  • Honesty and integrity: is truthful and seen as credible in the workplace.
  • Interpersonal skills: works well with a range of personalities and individuals.
  • Organization: manages tasks, resources, and information efficiently and systematically.
  • Problem solving: identifies, analyzes, and resolves challenges effectively.
  • Reliability: is dependable and trustworthy.
  • Self-motivation: drives toward goals and performs at a high level independently.
  • Time management: organizes and completes work within deadlines.
  • Technical skills: uses and manages multiple systems effectively, including standard office software.
  • Composure under pressure: completes assigned tasks in stressful circumstances.
Qualifications
