Job summary

Intrepid College Prep is a network of free, college preparatory public charter schools in the Antioch area of Greater Nashville, TN. We educate scholars across two campuses, with a 5-12 model emphasizing college readiness and equitable access to a high-quality education.

Our teachers engage in differentiated instruction, structured planning, and collaborative work to support diverse learners and EL students.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree with GPA 2.5 required or preferred; flexible depending on other qualifications.
• Tennessee Certification in the appropriate content area.
• Two years teaching experience preferred in urban public or charter schools.

Responsibilities

• Internalize, accommodate, and execute our rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum including daily lesson plans, unit plans, and the scope and sequence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure academic growth for EL students and students with disabilities.
• Utilize structured planning time and professional development opportunities built into the school day to plan high-quality lessons.
• Engage in a community where teaching is public through classroom visits, publication of curriculum, observation and feedback cycles.
• Share teaching strategies, visit peer classrooms, and analyze academic achievement data to develop best practice.
• Commit to school culture with consistency and high expectations by implementing school-wide systems, structures, and procedures.
• Availability to participate in after-school programs as needed.
• Availability to engage in occasional evening/weekend recruitment and community outreach events as needed.
• Other school success duties as assigned
