The Rockport Public Schools is seeking a highly-skilled, dynamic Middle High School Library Media Specialist. The successful candidate will foster a welcoming, inclusive learning commons environment that promotes literacy, inquiry, research, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. The Library Media Specialist will collaborate with teachers and staff to support curriculum, integrate information literacy skills, and provide students with access to diverse resources that enhance learning and academic achievement. The successful candidate will demonstrate the desire and ability to collaborate with colleagues to foster an inclusionary culture that allows each member of our learning community to feel a sense of belonging that is grounded in social emotional safety, impactful relationships, and personalized growth.

The District is currently completing a full renovation of the middle high school library in an effort to provide students, staff, and community members with a modern, inclusive, and flexible learning commons that serves as a learning hub for the school community that encourages staff and students to collaborate, communicate, and share. The space includes a newly designed podcast studio and video production studio to support live and pre-recorded broadcasting. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the physical and programmatic transformation.
