Job summary

Dudek, a 100% employee-owned environmental and planning firm, seeks a mid- to senior-level Wildfire Resilience Planner to join its fire protection and wildfire planning team in the United States.

The role leads projects, pursues new opportunities, mentors multidisciplinary teams, and delivers defensible wildfire resilience planning documents such as CWPPs, WRAs, and VMPs while translating complex data into practical guidance for decision-makers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of wildfire resilience, community planning, or related field.
• Strong project management, technical writing, and facilitation skills.
• Experience with CEQA/NEPA.
• Ability to translate complex data into practical, implementation-ready guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare CWPPs, WRAs, VMPs, and other wildfire resilience and hazard mitigation planning documents.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals; manage project delivery and client relationships.
• Conduct risk assessments, facilitate community engagement, and present defensible recommendations to decision-makers.

The Role:

• We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Wildfire Resilience Planner to join our fire protection and wildfire planning team.
• This full-time position involves leading projects, pursuing new opportunities, and mentoring multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare CWPPs, WRAs, VMPs, and other wildfire resilience and hazard mitigation planning documents.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and proposals; manage project delivery and client relationships.
• Conduct risk assessments, facilitate community engagement, and present defensible recommendations to decision-makers.

Who You Are:

• You have at least 8 years of progressively responsible experience in wildfire resilience, community planning, or a closely related field.
• You have proven project management skills, strong technical writing and facilitation abilities, and experience with CEQA/NEPA.
• You are solution-oriented, adaptable, and able to translate complex data into practical, implementation-ready guidance.
