Mid/Sr Scrum Master

Leidos has a new opportunity for a Mid/Sr Scrum Master in the Intel Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role focuses on Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations, Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence, and Cryptographic Key Management.

Job Description

A Mid/Sr Scrum Master will join a high performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a large, complex, fast‑paced technical program. The program execution follows DevOps best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments, with behavior‑driven development and test automation tools.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Facilitate self‑organizing team(s) to ensure progress against Program Increment (PI) commitments.
  • Protect the team from scope creep during PI execution.
  • Remove impediments and coordinate with Release Train Engineers on solutions.
  • Help team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate.
  • Coach, support, and enforce Scrum and other process rules.
  • Ensure the team understands the Definition of Done and how to meet it.
  • Coordinate with other teams on Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and communicate status to management.
  • Work with the Product Owner(s) to review and prioritize features.
  • Lead and facilitate SAFe ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
  • Work with Product Owner(s) and System Engineers to develop User Stories meeting acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain and generate information radiators for the teams.
  • Collect and share team metrics, determine when new metrics are needed, and develop improvements.
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles for continuous improvement.
  • Observe team dynamics, recognize strengths and weaknesses, and coach the team to improve productivity.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve Sprint goals.
  • Lead teams toward Agile maturity.
  • Create a fun, sharing, and learning environment.
  • Experiment with ideas to improve delivery, such as pair‑programming and cross‑functional training.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years as a Scrum Master for a software development or similar technical team.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent agile certification (PMI‑ACP).
  • Hands‑on experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, VersionOne, Rallye, IBM RTC).
  • At least 4 years on a large, technical program with diverse systems in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
  • Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large software systems, including hardware integration and test.
  • Experience with multi‑disciplinary technical development teams.
  • Experience using SAFe methodology.
  • Experience using Kanban to improve flow on support teams.
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) / key management programs.
  • Experience influencing organizational change toward agile adoption.
  • Experience applying test automation, test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
Pay Range

$92,300.00 – $166,850.00 (general guideline; actual compensation based on experience and qualifications).
