Job summary

LRS company in Whiteland, Indiana is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic (mid shift) to lead the team, perform maintenance and repair of fleet equipment including loaders, excavators, forklifts and grinders.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, train junior mechanics, and ensure safety and uptime. CDL is a plus; ASE or vocational training preferred; ability to work in all weather and lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to train and supervise junior mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform services, diagnostics, and parts replacement for company fleet.
• Identify problems and provide viable repair solutions.
• Service conveyors and sorting equipment.
• May train other mechanics and oversee performance.
• Prepare reports and documentation.
