Job summary

AdventHealth Manchester, KY, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in delivering patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. You will accurately take vital signs and document in the electronic medical record, and report procedures per policy.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing skill development, with CDC isolation practices and PPE usage. Requires High School Grad; BLS/CPR; CNA or related certifications preferred; 1+ PCT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required; CNA, CPCT/A, NCPCT, PCT-C, EMT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Assists in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately performs vital signs and documents in the electronic medical record
• Documents and reports all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Functions appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies
• Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs hand hygiene according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills continuously.
