This role

As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll build and deploy innovative features that impact our customers daily. From AI hiring tools to automated payroll solutions, you'll contribute to our Employment Operating System's mission to disrupt and improve the employment industry globally.

Our Product and Engineering teams delivered nearly 1,000 features last year. As a Senior Engineer, you'll be key in accelerating our product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting machine learning infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and implement features for machine learning workflows
• Optimize and enhance existing infrastructure for performance and resilience
• Handle data ingestion, processing, and storage to ensure high-quality data for training and inference
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain infrastructure health
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies in machine learning and data engineering
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth and learning

Your skills and experience

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Python and frameworks like Django or Flask
• Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Experience in software development with microservices or SOA architecture, preferably on AWS
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving and software design skills
• Practices including TDD, unit testing, and secure coding
• Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborating with Product teams
• Mentoring experience or leading squads
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively across global teams
